Second, was that current church programs and teaching were too shallow. Again, our teachings didn’t make their faith big enough.
More evidence of the fact that our current Bible teachings to our children aren’t big enough is that two-thirds of those who left the church didn’t do so on purpose. It just happened and they didn’t miss it. Again, we hadn’t made the faith big enough.
When we say don’t make the faith big enough it is in our teachings and in our actions.
I’ve been on a journey for several years diving into this reality of many leaving the faith, especially the next generation. I have traveled the country speaking on the issue.
But just sounding the alarm wasn't going to be good enough.
